A visual assembly that shows
how Jesus performed miracles Christian based
Resources
Glass jug of water

Several glasses

Tray with a high
lip/Cloth
Red food dye
Assembly idea
Explain the idea of
Jesus as a miracle worker and start to read the story of Jesus at
the wedding of Canaan. As you read through the story, clearly show
the children that you are pouring water from the jug into the glass.
Hold the glass at the bottom concealing the base. Do this as the
story allows. When it gets to the part when Jesus turns water into
wine, pick up the glass as before and pour water into the glass. The
children are amazed to see the water turning into wine.
This may be a cheap
visual trick but pulls every child onto the assembly and the awe and
wonder of Jesus's acts.

Submitted by We used inflated balloons adapted as sheep, then 4 pupils tried to get their sheep into the “pens” (under a chair) using cardboard rolls as crooks for assistance. I read the passage from the Bible about the lost sheep and we likened ourselves to sheep, easily led astray. (The visual aid of the balloon race helped.) We ended with a prayer of thanksgiving that God loves us so much that He would come looking for us if we were the only one’s needing rescuing, and thanking Him for His love and care. |
