Script
1. Jesus was teaching his followers.
He told them a story called "The Rich Fool".
The story teaches us to share what we have with others.

JESUS: There was once a rich man who had land which bore good crops. He began to think to himself,

MAN: I haven't anywhere to keep all my crops.
What can I do?
This is what I will do...

JESUS: ... he told himself...

MAN: I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I will store my corn and all my other goods.
Then I will say to myself...
Lucky man! You have all the good things you need for many years.
Take life easy.
Eat, drink and enjoy yourself!

JESUS: But God said to him...

GOD: You fool!
This very night, you will have to give up your life.
Then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?

1. And Jesus concluded,

JESUS: This is how it is with those who pile up riches for themselves, but are not rich in God's sight.

2. Let us now pray: Dear God, please help us to realise that having lots of possessions is not important in your eyes. We can be poor in body, but rich in spirit. Amen.

3. Dear God, please help us not to be greedy. Please help us to share with others. Amen.
